2 pounds Potatoes peeled and cut into 1/8-inch-thick slices
Unsalted Butter
1.5 cups Heavy Cream
3 Bay Leaves
2 Sprigs Thyme
2 Garlic Cloves chopped
1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg
Salt
Black Pepper freshly ground
1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese plus more for brolling

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

Heat the cream in a saucepan with the bay leaves, thyme, garlic, nutmeg, and salt and pepper.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm cream and the potato slices. Toss the potatoes in the mixture slightly to coat them.

Arrange half of the potato slices in the baking dish. Pour a little bit of sauce over potatoes, Sprinkle ¼ cup parmesan cheese. Top evenly with the remaining sliced potatoes, remaining cream sauce, and the remaining parmesan cheese.

Bake for about 50 minutes or until the potatoes are tender and golden brown.
